Decidedly mundane…

News from the Frontlines #11

Mon, 04/23, 4.15 am. Alhamdulillah! Great news from Japan! My father finally had nothing attached to his body anymore. No IVs, no devices, no hoses. He’s now able to walk more freely, though he still does a – according to the words of my mom – “funny walk”. Better still, he’s scheduled to go out of the hospital on this next Tuesday or Wednesday.

So, it’s official, the preparation for me and my sister to go pick our parents up in Japan has been shifted to high gear. There are so many things that must be prepared. Wish us luck, guys!

Thanks. BTW, do you know that it is such a hassle to get a visa? Take a look at the long list of documents I must supply to apply for one!
