Decidedly mundane…

Knight Industries Three Thousand

Pertaining to my previous post about K.I.T.T, apparently NBC has plans to air the new version of it. Instead of the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am, K.I.T.T will now be in the form of 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR. Several of the previous K.I.T.T’s features will be absent, but the new one will sport several new ones: shape-shifting body, stealth mode, etc. Take a look at the full blown comparison between the two at Popular Mechanic‘s site and a video from Jalopnik.

Here’s NBC’s trailer of the new show.

  1. Woooow! Is it going to include the lip-glossed sir Hasselhof?? :P

Fortunately not, my friend. It seems that he’s busy pursuing his singing career. He’ll be appearing on the new show as a guest star, though. You see, the new protagonist will be portrayed as his son so you gotta have Daddy Hoff, right?

  3. I don’t understand why they just don’t use a Ram-Air Trans Am. Its an update of the orginial, plus its sleek and mean and that hood would look awesome with the scanner.

  4. @ Occ:
Oh, you mean this 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air? It sure will resemble the original K.I.T.T. I bet it’s one of those product-placement agreements with Ford.
